Derrick Henry is a prominent American football running back for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). Born on January 4, 1994, in Yulee, Florida, Henry established himself as a dominant force in high school football, setting a national high school rushing record.
He continued his football career at the University of Alabama, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2015. The Titans drafted Henry in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
After a few seasons sharing carries, Henry emerged as the Titans' primary running back in 2018. In 2019, he became the NFL's rushing champion, a feat he repeated in 2020, when he also surpassed 2,000 rushing yards, becoming only the eighth player in NFL history to achieve this milestone.
